F. Matthias Alexander: The Man and his Work - Memoirs of Training in the Alexander Technique by Lulie Westfeldt is a fascinating personal account by a member of Alexander's first training course. It includes case histories and a description of the Technique.

Up from Down Under and the Supplement to Up From Down Under by Rosslyn McLeod, F. Matthias Alexander 1869-1955 - A Biographical Outline edited by Walter Carrington and Frederick Matthias Alexander - A Family History by Jackie Evens are also good sources of information about Alexander's life. Alexander wrote an autobiographical sketch covering the first 35 years of his life which can be found in Articles and Lectures by F. Matthias Alexander.
